"The Thesaurus Administration Tool (TAT) is a product designed for the multilingual thesaurus administration, particularly for creating new language versions of a thesaurus.

TAT has been developed within the framework of Eurovoc project for the specific purpose of translating Eurovoc into Czech. Therefore its functions are limited and it is not typical thesaurus management software (TMS).

In particular, TAT may be used for::

• the creation of new Eurovoc language versions
• the creation of a language version of another thesaurus

Within a limited scope TAT can be used for:

• Eurovoc administration
• the administration of any multilingual thesaurus

Limitations of TAT as regards using it as a TMS:

• long system response
• limited functions (e.g. insufficient import/export facilities, etc.)

TAT has been developed by DCIT, s.r.o. according to the requirements of the Czech Parliament. TAT is freely distributed and its full version may be downloaded here:

After downloading and unzipping the tat.zip file, run MSARN200.EXE with parameter code.mdb/ini tat.ini.
